Consider the following argument:
Black Men have a violent crime problem.
Now, I, as a Black Man – and even more to the point, a Blue Collar, working class Black Man who lives in Black inner city America – could argue all day long about how “all” Black Men “aren’t like that” – and I could be right, in the particulars.
But even in my being right, even in pointing out the fact that I am indeed “not like that”, the fact remains, that taken as a group, Black Men DO indeed have a violent crime problem – and even avowed civil rights leaders, such as Jesse Jackson, Sr., knows this – hence his notable remark about being relieved when the footsteps he hears behind him in the evening belong to someone other than a Black male’s.
As always, my position is to be between a rock and a hard place…

@Obsidian 406,
YES – all of the available evidence points rather strongly to the fact that, Men, in aggregate, are indeed sexually indiscriminate, more often than not.
I would agree that men are, in aggregate, more sexually indiscriminate than women are. I think few men are without any level of discrimination at all. The data I’ve seen suggests that men are less driven by pure sex and more by relationships than the stereotypes claim. To be clear, men are indeed strongly driven by pure sex; just not as much as stereotyped.
